Bus trip to Gásadalur
A guided tour from Tórshavn to Bøur and Gásadalur with a light meal incl. coffee/tea and cake at Gásadalsgarður
Gásadalur is home to the beautiful and famous waterfall Múlafossur. Múlafossur is a must see, and one of the biggest tourist attraction on the Faroe Island, and to good reason, the view on Gásadalur and Múlafossur is spectacular: the waterfall that just falls off the island.
The village of Gásadalur, surrounded by the highest mountains on Vágar, enjoys a panoramic view over the isle of Mykines. Until recently, the village of Gásadalur was the only village on the Faroe Islands without road connection to other villages. The path over the mountain, where the post was carried three times a week, was the only connection to the outside world. Now a tunnel breaks the isolation, but the cozy atmosphere of the village is still intact.
On the way to Gásadalur we make a stop in the village Bøur, where we walk through the village. From Bø there is a great view of the uninhabited islet Tindhólmur with the five peaks and Drangarnir, the sea stacks. After the stop in Bøur we will continue to Gásadalur, where a light meal with coffee/tea and cake awaits in the cosy Gásadalsgarður Guesthouse.
On the way back to Tórshavn there will be a stop, where you will be able to take some pictures of the unspoiled nature of the Faroe Islands.
