You will experience bird life, majestic grottos and imposing cliffs
From Tórshavn we will drive to Vestmanna, where you will attend the very popular boat tour, that will take you to the Vestmanna Seacliffs. On this tour you will experience bird life, majestic grottos and imposing cliffs.
After the boat tour, lunch will be served at Restaurant Fjørðukrógvin in Vestmanna Tourist Centre. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes created with mostly Faroese ingredients, including fish and lamb.
After lunch we will head to the island Vágar. Vágar is the westernmost island on the Faroe Islands. Whether it is because of its location or not, the island is full of old stories and legends.
The first stop will be at Sørvágs/Leitisvatn, where you will see the statue of The Nix.
The nix was a water creature that had the ability to transform into many shapes – most often to trick humans to take them with him back in the water.
After the stop at Sørvágs/Leitisvatn we will head to Gásadalur. In the village Gásadalur you will find the most famous waterfall in the Faroe Islands, Múlafossur, which tumbles straight into the Atlantic Ocean.
Among the characteristic grass-thatched houses lies Gásadalsgarður, a local café, where we will enjoy some coffee and homemade Faroese pastries.
After the coffee break in Gásadalur, we will head back to Tórshavn, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or agreed drop-off point.
